Our rescue journey started with a personal loss

“In August of 2021 I lost my oldest brother to pancreatic cancer that had been diagnosed only 8 days prior. When going through his home and effects after his death, I was reminded of two things: life is short, and how our family was blessed with a gift with animals. In that moment, I decided to start this rescue. In the two years that we’ve been open, we’ve saved more than 450 of the most vulnerable animals- the ones that were dumped on the street or on Red Lists at shelters.

My mom was the original animal lover, so we named it in her honor. She lost her battle to Alzheimer’s over ten years ago.

Adopting is one of the best things you can do.

When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving dog or cat a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profit before animal welfare.

All of our animals are rescued from high-kill shelters or the streets.
